Finding Leaders

There are 4 stages before someone becomes a leader:
a. Identify – They should have a compassion for people and want others to know God’s grace as well as conforming to Biblical criteria where given. From this basic starting point you then train them in discipleship.
b. Mentor – You share the lead with them in ministry, looking at whether they are, gifted, capable and faithful? Whilst doing this you look for ways, both informal and formal to provide feedback and continued discipleship.
c. Apprenticeship – The person now exhibits gospel confidence, love for others, godliness and has a desire to lead alongside you. Further opportunities need to be provided with continued feedback, discipleship and pointing towards training opportunities. Training in potential situations faced.
d. Leadership – The individual now has the respect and confidence of the group, be it a home group, young peoples group or a church, they are gifted, developing and growing in faith and godliness. As they take on leadership, launch a new ministry, plant a church they need continued help, involvement and training by the leader.
