I came across a great illustration yesterday as I read a bit of Crosstalk, M Emlet. As we engage in ministry are we a pipe or a reservoir. A pipe simply carries or conveys the message to others, we can minister in this way - we study so that we have something to pass on. But what we ought to be is a reservoir - as we study God's word we learn, experience God and are changed and transformed our ministry to others then flows out of the overflow of what we are learning for ourselves.
Which am I a reservoir or a pipe?
